Hot and fresh made, HUGE portion of fish for less than $8. How do they do it?!? And it taste great. Highly recommend eating here.

Going to the local hospital cafe is not what crosses your mind when thinking of places to go have dinner, but allow me a minute to explain why The Sage Cafe is the best place to go for dinner, not only is the food delicious, but everyone is welcoming and inviting, the speed of service is impeccable, and the price you pay for a meal is worth it, it’s arguably the best bang for your buck dinner. I have been here now 4 times and decided to try the Quesadilla, I didn’t add chicken but I specifically asked for pepper jack cheese, I also grabbed a vitamin water to enjoy with it, when I was given my food, it already came with sour cream, guacamole, and salsa on the side, and after trying all three, I believe they’re amazing. The salsa isn’t spicy and the sour cream is the perfect temp and consistency that it’s not runny or anything. The guacamole is nothing short of delicious. I got my food within 7 minutes and paid just under $8 for everything.

Normally I don't get up here for breakfast, but I was here early enough to give the new updated breakfast menu a try. It's only served from 7am till 10:30 am, when the grill closes for 30 min to switch over to the lunch service. I ordered the breakfast burrito, that comes wrapped in a big flour tortilla filled with scrambled ehh, cheese, onions, salsa, and choice of bacon, ham or sausage. I picked sausage and bacon. THis is a really big meal and I only ate half. It was super tasty and scrumptious. I'd for sure get this again! it was just $6.75, no tax! If you can get here i the morning, the breakfast choice are great!

This place was surprisingly good for a Cafe in the hospital. Prices were great! Had the Italian wrap with onion rings & drink, and Chicken fingers with a drink all under 20.00. All Large portions. A good selection of foods and drinks. It's a Cafeteria type setting, but flows well, even in busy times. I'm sure if something wasn't done to your liking, they would correct it right away. Great cooks and great customer service. Keep up the good work, Sage Cafe.

Big News: the new updated menu is out. Prices have only gone up slightly, but the news is all the new food items offered. The fish and chips are really god, you get 4 pieces of crispy fish and fries. But what really got me was the HUGE Turkey Club sandwich with real sliced turkey breast, not the pressed lunch meat stuff, the real stuff sliced THICK! Prices are super reasonable, I'll post the current menu with prices. No tax here either, so that saves even more money! Get up to the hospital for some really good food. They have the stir fry station open now as well, get a fresh wokked stir fry with all you own choosing of ingredients. The grill starts lunch at 11 am.

Wow! The fish & chips are amazing! Even better than the food truck that comes through town sometimes. And for $8, you get plenty of fish and fries. I also had the fajita chicken wrap for $8. That was also great tasting and very fresh. Plus they give you a good amount of salsa, guacamole, and sour cream! This place might be the best hospital food in the country!

UPDATE: Sage Cafe is all opened now, but you do have to enter using the front entrance and sign in at the desk. No big deal, no one is checking ID or anything. The new updated menu is out with a few new items as well as daily specials. Today the daily special was a Thai Wrap. I think it was a veggie version. I went for a good regular cheeseburger and fries. ******************** I'll tell you what, this place has the best food for the lowest prices and there's not even sales tax, saving you 7.5% right off. It's a cafeteria set up where you tell the cook what you want off the large menu and they'll fix you up right there! There breakfast starting at 7am and lunch and dinner till around 6pm depending on the crowd and on weekends closed earlier. But food is available 7 days a week. The Ruben sandwiches, burgers and fries and onion rings are all good. For the more healthy they have a salad bar and grilled chicken breasts. Mostly this is feeding the hospital employees, but I just love coming here for the great food and low prices. Parking during the day can be tight, but you can still usually find a place.

This is Not your ordinary hospital food although the Sage Cafe is located in the Carson Tahoe Hospital. The food is great no matter what you order. I have had the Fish & Chips, Hamburger & Fries with Bacon and Avacado and one of their daily specials which was Coconut Shrimp with Rice and Broccoli. It’s all good. It’s clean, fast, plenty of places to sit and the staff is friendly. The menu has something for everyone. You can eat here for under $10, no lie. The Coconut Shrimp daily specials which even came with a drink for under $8.
